Grow Great is a national campaign working to halve childhood stunting by 2030.
Stunting is a sign of chronic malnutrition, showing up as children being too short for their age. But it’s not just about height. It’s about missed potential in health, learning and life. And it holds our country back, too.
We see a South Africa where no child is stunted. A South Africa where every child’s body and brain grow great from the very start of their lives.
The good news? Stunting is 100% preventable. And we’re proving it every day.
Grow Great works to end childhood stunting by driving national change and supporting families and communities on the ground. We do this by:
- Walking with mothers through pregnancy and their
baby’s early months - Equipping community health works to spot and
prevent stunting early - Shifting public attitudes and everyday habits that
shape child nutrition/Changing social normals so
healthy growth becomes the expectation
