Help halve childhood stunting in South Africa

Every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy, strong and supported. Yet nearly 1 in 3 children under 2 in South Africa are stunted – too short for their age and falling behind developmentally due to chronic undernutrition in the first 1 000 days of life.

Grow Great is working to change that.

We support moms through pregnancy and parenting groups. We train community health workers to track child growth and act early. We drive national campaigns that shift mindsets and unlock better policies.

And it’s working: more than 420 000 children have been growth monitored and protected from stunting. Over 100 000 moms have received support.

But to reach every child, we need you.

  • R965 helps a new mom join a Flourish support group
  • R3 400 trains a health worker to support 250 families
  • Any amount – even R50 or R500 – fuels data, research and campaigns that put stunting on the national agenda
